The Digital Product Configuration Management (DPCM) Engineer II position, based onsite at the RTX facility in Tucson, Arizona, offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to managing and supporting digital products throughout their development lifecycle. The DPCM department focuses on providing innovative solutions via automation, continuous improvement, and technical expertise to manage all digital product configurations efficiently. Digital products at RTX include a broad range of software and associated documentation such as embedded tactical software, applications, built-in test software, reprogramming tools, simulation software, test equipment, configurable logic devices, ASIC designs, formal qualification tools, MBSE system models, Free Open Source Software (FOSS), and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software.

This role requires an active and transferable U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level and U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for such clearances. The position involves hands-on responsibilities such as performing builds and releases, facilitating Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs), managing the Digital Products Development Library (DDL), ensuring configuration control and traceability, and overseeing change management processes. The engineer will be instrumental in maintaining the security, consistency, and integrity of all configuration items across the digital development cycle. Additionally, the role demands proficiency in administering various configuration management tools and DevSecOps technologies, including Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS), Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jira, BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Nexus. The position also requires coordination of data transfers and digital product releases in collaboration with functional and program leadership to guarantee timely delivery and proper configuration management execution.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, a minimum of two years of engineering experience, and demonstrated expertise with version control, change management tools, DevSecOps technologies, and automation scripting across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments. Preferred qualifications include experience with software build processes, scripting programming languages such as Perl, Python, and Ruby, and knowledge of configuration management principles and CI/CD pipelines. This role offers a competitive salary range between $68,900 and $131,100 USD, reflecting various experience levels and qualifications.
