The Digital Product Configuration Management (DPCM) department at RTX, formerly known as Software Configuration Management (SWCM), is seeking a Digital Product Configuration Management Engineer II to be based onsite at the RTX Facility in Tucson, AZ. This essential role focuses on providing innovative solutions through automation and continuous improvement to support all digital products within the department. Digital products encompass embedded tactical software, applications, Built-in Test (BIT) software, reprogramming tools, simulation software, test equipment, configurable logic, ASIC design, formal qualification tools, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models, Free Open Source Software (FOSS), and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software.

As a Digital Product Configuration Management Engineer II, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle management of digital products from configuration planning, control, and traceability to executing change management and version control across digital development environments. You will perform builds and releases manually or through certified automated pipelines, facilitate Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs), and administer Digital Products Development Libraries (DDL). This role requires meticulous attention to maintaining consistency, security, and organization throughout the digital development lifecycle. You will manage various digital media libraries, document process guidelines, and oversee dependency management, build, and versioning standards. Administration of configuration management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jira, BitBucket, and Confluence, as well as DevSecOps tools like Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, GitLab CI/CD, and Bamboo, will be a key component of this role.

Moreover, you will coordinate data transfers, manage courier support, and ensure smooth operations for digital product releases by collaborating closely with functional and program leadership to meet strict timelines and configuration management execution requirements. This role demands a proactive approach to improving processes, ensuring compliance, and adapting to evolving technologies within the digital product ecosystem.

This position is onsite in Tucson, AZ, and requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance at the Secret level before your start date. U.S. citizenship is mandatory to obtain the required clearance. RTX offers a competitive salary range of $68,900 to $131,100 annually, based on experience, education, location, and relevant skills.
