The Dietary Worker role at Aramark is designed for individuals who excel in fast-paced, performance-driven environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to patients. This role is critical in providing patient support through phone and software systems, acting as an essential liaison among patients, medical staff, and food and nutrition teams to ensure precise and therapeutic meal service. The Dietary Worker manages patient meal orders, handles inquiries regarding dietary needs, and interacts closely with doctors and nurses to maintain accurate nutrition plans tailored to patients’ health requirements.

Included in this job is the responsibility to utilize technology effectively, processing patient orders via software while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all safety, sanitation, and operational standards of Aramark. The position works within a call center setting where all calls are recorded to ensure adherence to service quality and performance benchmarks. Flexibility and adaptability are vital attributes for success in this role, as job duties may evolve based on client needs and operational requirements. Effective communication skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and proficiency with web-based systems and call center technology are essential.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
  • Experience in food service or dietary-related role preferred
  • Fluency in English required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with computers and telephone systems
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred
  • Experience in food service, dietary clerk, or related field preferred
  • Fluent communication in English required, bilingual or multilingual a plus
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Comfortable using technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset
  • Typing proficiency of 35 - 45 wpm
  • Flexible and adaptable to change

Job Duties

  • Function comfortably in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment
  • Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Adapt to customer needs
  • Answer phones and take menu orders related to patient meals
  • Use software to record patient orders accurately
  • Maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure proper meal processing
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition
  • Maintain confidentiality, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Comply with ARAMARK's standards of operation and business conduct policy, ensuring records and reports meet all regulations
