Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food and facilities management, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. As a company, Aramark is deeply rooted in service and driven by its mission to do great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. With a strong focus on diversity and inclusion, Aramark promotes equal employment opportunities and ensures a workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, or protected veteran status. This inclusive environment fosters personal and professional growth, allowing employees to develop their talents, fuel their passions, and reach their full potential.

The Dietary Worker position at Aramark is a crucial role dedicated to supporting patient meal services within a healthcare setting. This role centers around patient support by managing communications via phone and specialized software systems, acting as an essential liaison between patients and other departments such as doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team. The Dietary Worker ensures that patient nutritional needs are met with accuracy and care, facilitating a positive patient experience through efficient and friendly customer service. Given the fast-paced and performance-driven nature of the role, employees must be able to adapt to dynamic situations, maintain composure under pressure, and demonstrate excellent communication skills throughout every interaction.

In this position, the Dietary Worker is responsible for answering patient phone calls, taking meal orders, and responding to inquiries related to dietary needs. Utilizing software tools, the Dietary Worker records orders accurately and maintains a working knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure compliance with specific nutritional requirements. This role also emphasizes adherence to strict privacy, safety, and sanitation standards to protect patient confidentiality and well-being. Additionally, the Dietary Worker must comply with Aramark’s operational standards and business conduct policies, upholding all local, state, and federal regulations.

Employees in this role are expected to thrive in a call center environment where calls are routinely recorded and evaluated for quality assurance. Maintaining a friendly and positive demeanor is critical, as is flexibility to meet the evolving requirements of patients and the healthcare environment. Aramark values adaptability and encourages its employees to embrace change and continuously develop new skills. This focus on growth and flexibility means that job duties may evolve or expand over time to meet business needs without formal notice. Overall, the Dietary Worker plays a vital role in enhancing patient satisfaction by delivering attentive, precise, and compassionate service in a collaborative team setting.
