LifeBridge Health operates with a mission to improve the health of people in the communities it serves, boasting over 14,000 employees, more than 130 care locations, and handling over two million annual patient encounters. The network includes five leading centers in the Baltimore region, such as Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Grace Medical Center, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. The organization thrives on a culture known as CARE BRAVELY, emphasizing compassion, courage, and urgency to drive decisions and empower teams to shape the future of healthcare. The foundation of LifeBridge Health is built on inclusivity and compliance with federal civil rights laws, ensuring no discrimination based on race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Levindale Hospital, as part of this network, reflects these values, focusing on community-centered care and innovation to elevate patient experiences and health access.
The Dietary Supervisor position at Levindale Hospital is a PRN (as needed) role with weekend hours that vary, offering an hourly wage of $19.03 to $28.65 based on experience. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation and management of the dietary department, providing oversight and leadership from the opening to the closing of the department. This supervisory position involves significant responsibilities including quality assurance and regulatory compliance to meet both state standards and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards. The Dietary Supervisor conducts periodic kitchen sanitation audits, maintains critical records related to refrigerator and freezer temperatures, dish machine temperatures, and sanitizer concentrations, and develops action plans based on audit findings. The supervisor also conducts pre-service checklists, ensures staff follow proper procedures, and handles disciplinary discussions with sensitivity and professionalism. Moreover, this role contributes to a culture of collaboration, supporting staff through unit-based practice councils and advanced clinical education resources, which facilitate workflow efficiency and improve patient outcomes. By joining Levindale Hospital as a Dietary Supervisor, you become part of a team that values innovation, professional growth, and community impact while delivering compassionate and high-quality nutritional care in a healthcare setting.
