Job Description
The Pennant Group, Inc. is a holding company composed of independent operating subsidiaries that provide a variety of healthcare services, including home health, hospice agencies, and senior living communities across the United States. Each subsidiary operates autonomously with its own management team, employees, and assets, ensuring a focused approach tailored to the unique needs of the communities and clients it serves. The Pennant Group is committed to delivering compassionate care and exceptional services to enhance the quality of life for seniors and vulnerable populations in the areas it covers. This decentralized model allows each subsidiary to maintain the flexibility and responsiveness necessary to meet the specific demands of their local environments while benefiting from the overarching support and resources of The Pennant Group.
The senior living community, one of the subsidiaries under The Pennant Group umbrella, is currently searching for a dedicated Dietary Supervisor to join its professional team. This role is essential in ensuring the health, safety, and satisfaction of residents by overseeing and managing the dining services operations. The Dietary Supervisor will be guided by the community's core values known as CAPLICO, an acronym that stands for Customer Second (Employee First), Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Celebration, and Ownership. These core values exemplify the community’s culture and work ethic, driving every aspect of operations and interpersonal relations.
The Dietary Supervisor position is a full-time opportunity with a pay range of $25 to $28 per hour, depending on experience, offering a competitive salary for qualified candidates. The role involves comprehensive management responsibilities of the dining services team, including maintaining adequate staffing levels, conducting staff education and training, and performing timely evaluations of employees. Reporting directly within the organizational structure, the supervisor ensures that all kitchen and dining area sanitation standards, productivity goals, safety measures, and quality controls are strictly followed.
A critical aspect of the Dietary Supervisor's duties is ensuring compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies at all times, guaranteeing the privacy and dignity of all residents under their care. The supervisor is responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new dietary staff, including caregivers who assist in the dining rooms. This ensures that every team member is well-prepared to deliver superior service in line with the community’s high standards. Beyond daily operations, this role includes planning, coordinating, and implementing special functions within the community, contributing to an enriching environment for residents.
The Dietary Supervisor manages all aspects of departmental operations, including purchasing, maintaining inventory par levels, portion control, menu requirements, and budget compliance while upholding the highest quality food service standards. This position requires strong leadership skills to coach, mentor, and develop the team while fostering a workplace that embodies the CAPLICO Core Values. Staff evaluations and performance reviews fall under this role, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth within the dietary department.
Candidates for this role will find themselves part of a mission-driven team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, their families, and the broader community. The Pennant Group and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
