Job Requirements
- Graduate of California State approved DSS course, CDM certification with Title 22 coursework, or bachelor’s degree in related clinical nutrition field
- One year experience in healthcare related food service preferred
- Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment
- Strong supervisory and communication skills
- Familiarity with Federal and State dietary regulations
- Commitment to resident satisfaction and rights protection

Job Duties
- Ensures the timely preparation and delivery of nutritious meals and supplements to residents according to physician orders and regulations
- Maintains a safe and sanitary working environment compliant with Federal and California State guidelines
- Ensures meals are served according to resident requests, preferences, and needs
- Implements and revises menus with Registered Dietician review to meet resident needs
- Interacts effectively with interdisciplinary team members
- Maintains all records and documentation according to Federal, State and Company requirements
- Maintains inventory of food and supplies meeting resident needs and policy guidelines
- Participates in assigned meetings and in-services
- Operates department with sensitivity to forecasted needs
- Ensures exchange of essential information with all departments to support quality resident care
- Works with Registered Dietician to achieve resident health goals
- Meets department work goals through effective assignment of staff
- Monitors staff performance and addresses any needs
- Evaluates quality of service provided by staff
