Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 90-hour state-approved dietetic services course if required by regulatory agency, or ability to complete within one year
- Minimum of one year dietary/culinary and supervisory experience in an extended care facility
- Ability to direct and coordinate dietary services
- Must comply with policies and state standards
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Completed 90-hour state-approved course in dietetic services or willing to complete within one year if required by regulatory agency
- Minimum of one year of dietary/culinary and supervisory experience in an extended care facility
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of state dietary regulations
- Ability to collaborate with dietitians and healthcare professionals
Job Duties
- Direct and coordinate all aspects of the dietary or culinary services department
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and state-mandated standards for dietary/culinary services
- Consult with the dietitian consultant to ensure clients' nutritional needs are met
- Supervise dietary and culinary staff to maintain quality service
- Manage inventory and ordering of food supplies
- Develop menus that meet nutritional and regulatory requirements
- Monitor kitchen operations for safety and sanitation standards
