Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience in a supervisory capacity in a skilled nursing care center, hospital, or related medical center
- Certification in an accredited dietetic training course approved by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals or Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Ability to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local dietary regulations
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in an accredited dietetic training course approved by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals or Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Two years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing care center, hospital, or related medical center
- Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy

Job Duties
- Interview patient/family to obtain food preferences, habits, and diet history
- Complete clinical documentation related to patient nutritional needs
- Prepare for visits from Registered Dietitian and comply with recommendations
- Review diet orders to ensure compliance with patient prescriptions and menu
- Document patients' cultural backgrounds affecting food consumption
- Monitor freezer/refrigerator temperatures and maintain documentation
- Conduct inventory, purchase food/supplies, and monitor compliance
- Maintain proper food storage, preparation, and serving under sanitary conditions
- Supervise tray line service and conduct tray audits
- Follow procedures for serving partner meals
- Supervise cleaning of kitchen equipment
- Oversee operation of major kitchen equipment
- Monitor food production to maintain nutritive value
- Maintain compliance with budgetary guidelines
