Job Description
Bickford Senior Living is a well-established community of caregivers dedicated to enriching the lives and happiness of seniors. Founded in 1991 in Olathe, Kansas, by the Eby Family, Bickford Senior Living began with Mary Bickford, the family matriarch and first resident of a Bickford Branch. This marked the beginning of a long-standing tradition of compassionate care which has now expanded to over 50 locations across 7 states. Despite its growth, Bickford Senior Living maintains a strong family-oriented environment that remains the foundation of its service to thousands of residents and employees. The organization prides itself on delivering personalized, high-quality care that encourages seniors to enjoy life to the fullest while fostering a supportive and caring atmosphere.
The role of Breadbasket Manager at Bickford Senior Living offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the team that drives their restaurant-style dining experience known as the "Bread Basket." This position is essential in supporting all facets of the dining experience including ordering, meal preparation, presentation, and the meal service itself. The Breadbasket Manager is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared following established menus, processes, and expectations while maintaining food safety and quality standards. Interaction with residents during meal times is a key component of this role, ensuring that dining is an enjoyable and enriching experience. This role supports the organization’s mission by contributing to the overall quality of life for residents through excellent dining service.
This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment with a competitive starting wage of $22 per hour and a comprehensive suite of benefits. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and various voluntary products, while part-time employees working 29 hours or fewer per week can access voluntary life and disability benefits. Benefits begin the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Other benefits include prescription savings plans, 401(k) with employer match, and the unique advantage of daily pay availability. This role demands commitment, with occasional mandatory travel for training and development purposes. The Breadbasket Manager benefits from a supportive community environment where the pursuit of quality senior care is paramount, and where team members are encouraged to grow and advance through training and education.
