The role of Dietary Cook/Housekeeper at NeuroRestorative in Artesia, CA, invites individuals with culinary and housekeeping skills to contribute directly to this impactful mission. This per-diem position offers flexible scheduling, with 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm and hourly pay ranging from $19.00 to $20.00 based on experience, along with overtime compensation. Situated in a 10-bed NeuroRestorative facility featuring low patient ratios and specialized sub-acute physical rehabilitation services, this role is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and nourishing environment for individuals receiving care.
As a Dietary Cook/Housekeeper, you will coordinate menus, prepare nutritious meals, and manage cleaning duties in common areas to ensure health standards and cleanliness. Beyond food preparation, your responsibilities will involve maintaining laundry duties, purchasing groceries and supplies, and adhering to all infection control and safety protocols. Job Qualifications

- Janitorial/cleaning and/or housekeeping experience required

Job Duties
- Clean and maintain all common areas including rooms, hallways, restrooms, windows, woodwork, light fixtures, and other work areas so that health standards are met and the home is neat and debris-free
- Maintain and clean floor surfaces, furniture, draperies, use shampooers, and empty trash receptacles
- Follow universal precautions and procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, and infection control
- Disinfect equipment and supplies
- Launder, sort clothing, iron, and fold items
- Purchase groceries, household supplies, and take laundry to the cleaners
- Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
- Prepare, season, and cook food
- Carve portions of meat, fish, or fowl for individual servings
- Inspect food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities
- Oversee and coordinate activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods
- Plan and review menus
- Determine food quantities, labor, and overhead costs
