We are currently seeking a part-time Cook to join our Dietary Department. This role offers a competitive rate of pay at $19.50 per hour. The Cook will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and service of all planned meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident needs. This position involves managing meal and tray line service efficiently, ensuring compliance with all resident diet orders, and maintaining open communication with Registered Dietitians (RDs).
This role is vital for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service within the facility. The successful candidate will play an essential role in providing nutritious and therapeutic foods tailored to meet the specific health requirements of our residents. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership abilities, be a team player, and maintain excellent customer service and communication skills.
The role also requires adherence to strict kitchen cleanliness schedules and responsibilities to uphold food safety standards governed by healthcare cooking certifications such as ServSafe. Physical stamina is needed for the day-to-day tasks involved in large-scale cooking environments.
