We are currently seeking a Part-Time Dietary Cook to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive the best nutritional care as part of their rehabilitation. Reporting directly to the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Cook will be responsible for preparing patient and guest trays in accordance with dietary specifications and accommodating all dietetic needs to promote recovery and health. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with the Dietary Manager and the Registered Dietician to guarantee that all dietary requirements and tray delivery schedules are met accurately. Although the position is part-time initially, there is potential to transition to full-time in the future, offering even greater stability and benefits.

In this role, the Dietary Cook will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards by properly cleaning utensils, kitchen equipment, and the workstations after each meal service. The ability to assist with tray line service for patients, employees, and guests is essential, as well as ensuring that all dietary guidelines are followed strictly to comply with hospital policies and healthcare standards. Job Duties

  • Prepare patient and guest trays in compliance with dietary specifications
  • Clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, and workstations after each mealtime and as required
  • Assist with tray line service for patients, employees, and guests
  • Ensure patients receive proper diets as ordered
  • Communicate regularly with the Dietary Manager and Registered Dietician to coordinate tray delivery and diet compliance
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dietary area
  • Follow hospital policies and healthcare standards regarding food service and dietetics
