Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a food preparation role preferred
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and bending
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a dietary cook or similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and menus accurately
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Good physical stamina

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to standardized recipes in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Manage ingredients by suggesting creative ways to utilize leftovers and manage overstock efficiently
  • Ensure quality control by accurately preparing, portioning, and serving meals based on recipes and dietary plans
  • Maintain cleanliness by cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and work areas according to health standards
  • Perform physical tasks such as safely lifting, bending, and twisting during food preparation
  • Follow menus and recipes to consistently produce high-quality meals
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served on time
