Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or in process of receiving
  • Sanitation certification

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with following proper food service procedures
  • Ability to give timely and accurate service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and interact with residents, families, and employees

Job Duties

  • Apply skills to ensure person centered care as exhibited through pillars of excellence
  • Understand and carry out safe and sanitary food handling practices including using fresh sanitation buckets for each meal
  • Organize food in cold cart correctly ensuring no spaces are left vacant
  • Carry through with all pink slips prior to leaving at end of shift including checking for incorrect or missing diet cards
  • Prepare all plates according to resident requests and specified diets
  • Follow specific portion sizes for each item to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assist residents and guests with special meal requests during service
  • Remove all dirty pans and dishes in a timely manner and clean hot and cold carts with sanitizer nightly
  • Complete all before, during and after side-work prior to checking out each night
  • Take and document temperatures of all food items before serving to ensure food safety practices
  • Ensure all residents are accounted for and fed while documenting and charging guests appropriately
  • Ensure all coolers and freezers are clean and free of filth with properly dated and labeled resident items
