The role of Dietary and Food Cook at NeuroRestorative is a unique dual-position combining responsibilities of housekeeper and cook, offered as a per diem opportunity requiring 10 hours per week. Situated at NeuroRestorative's facility on E. Alluvial Ave, this position plays a vital part in delivering nourishment and culinary services that contribute directly to the well-being of individuals receiving rehabilitation and community-based care. With an hourly rate ranging between $17.00 and $19.00, this role is ideal for a skilled culinary professional with a passion for serving others and contributing to a meaningful mission.
As a Dietary and Food Cook, you will be responsible for coordinating menus, preparing meals, and managing kitchen operations to ensure quality, safety, and satisfaction among the individuals served. Your culinary expertise will be applied in various tasks including reviewing work orders to determine food types and quantities, seasoning and cooking food, carving portions of meat, fish, or fowl, and inspecting food storage and kitchen sanitation. Additionally, you will oversee kitchen activities to optimize efficiency and plan menus that meet dietary standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated team environment.
