Job Description

The role of Dietary and Food Cook at NeuroRestorative is a dual position combining culinary skills with housekeeping responsibilities. This per diem position requires a dedication to quality, attention to detail, and a passion for serving others through food preparation. The role includes coordinating menus, preparing, seasoning, and cooking food, as well as overseeing kitchen activities. The position offers both flexibility and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the organization’s mission. Working approximately 10 hours weekly with an hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $19.00, this role is ideal for individuals who wish to bring their culinary expertise and organizational skills to a supportive team environment while helping enhance the nutritional experience of the individuals served.

Job Duties

  • Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
  • prepare, season, and cook food
  • carve portions of meat, fish, or fowl for individual servings
  • inspect food storage and direct sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities
  • oversee and coordinate activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods
  • plan and review menus
  • determine food quantities, labor, and overhead costs
