Job Description

Located at 4595 Timber Ridge Drive, Douglasville, Georgia, this establishment is a senior living community dedicated to providing high-quality care and services to its residents. Harmony Senior Living is committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and supported in their daily lives. The community focuses not just on providing exceptional care but also on fostering an atmosphere of comfort, safety, and dignity for all its residents. Their team is composed of professionals who are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through compassionate and attentive service. This approach extends to every part of the facility, from dining services to recreational activities, making it a vibrant and enjoyable place for residents and their families.

The Server role at this community is a vital position contributing directly to the residents' dining experience. The Server is responsible for courteously serving meals to residents and guests while ensuring the dining area is clean and properly reset after meal service. This role demands attention to detail, a caring attitude, and the ability to handle various tasks that support the dining experience. Servers assist residents with menu selections, provide beverage service including water, iced tea, juices, milk, and coffee or tea, and ensure condiments like salt, pepper, and sugar are replenished as needed. The Server must be knowledgeable of sit-down service etiquette and proper serving techniques to maintain a pleasant and professional dining atmosphere.

Moreover, Servers have a basic understanding of food preparation such as salads and desserts and are knowledgeable about proper food storage and labeling procedures. They are also tasked with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining room areas by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Attending required staff meetings and training sessions is essential to stay updated on policies, procedures, and service excellence. Servers must be especially attentive to the special needs of residents, including those with mobility impairments or memory challenges, ensuring that each individual receives respectful and individualized service.

In addition to serving, the Server may assist with tray service and must adhere strictly to confidentiality policies surrounding resident information. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to interact politely and considerately with residents, guests, coworkers, and supervisors. The Server must demonstrate physical stamina and flexibility, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift heavy objects regularly, and work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overall, the Server role is critical in supporting a positive dining experience that directly impacts the well-being and satisfaction of residents at this senior living community.
