The role of Dietary Aide/Relief Cook (PRN, as needed) at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact within the healthcare environment. Job Requirements
- Must have active North Carolina driver’s license free of major infractions
- Background check and drug screen required for employment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including assisting with unloading food deliveries
- Must demonstrate or develop skills necessary to meet the position’s competencies within the organization’s orientation and training program
- Willingness to work PRN including weekend rotations
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare dietary services helpful but not required
- ServSafe certification required or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a diverse environment
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism and effective communication skills
- Demonstrated flexibility for reassignment to various units providing care to different patient populations
Job Duties
- Transporting and serving meals to facility patients and staff
- Washing dishes, trays and other cooking utensils
- Performing general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, cleaning drink machines and cooking equipment
- Preparing food in accordance with recipe and all safety and food preparation guidelines, primarily on weekend rotation
- Assisting with unloading food delivery and storage in proper locations
- Maintaining compliance with Health Department regulations to ensure a safe and healthy kitchen and food service area
- Demonstrating a friendly and service-oriented attitude, working collaboratively within a team to accomplish tasks
