Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Previous experience in food service preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
  • Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to State/Local requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Previous experience in food service preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly populations preferred
  • Experience with dementia preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the Culinary Services Coordinator and Cook in maintaining a clean kitchen
  • Prepare meals according to dietary guidelines
  • Deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Provide sensitive and professional service to elderly residents
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking kitchen supplies
  • Support resident needs, including those with dementia or specialized dietary requirements
