Job Description
Our facility is a reputable skilled nursing center dedicated to providing high-quality care and comfort to our residents. We operate a modern kitchen and dining area, where our culinary and dietary teams work diligently to support the nutritional needs and preferences of those we serve. The establishment is committed to maintaining hygiene, safety, and excellence in food service within a sensitive healthcare environment, ensuring all meals are prepared and delivered under strict food safety standards. We offer a supportive work environment where teamwork, respect, and professionalism are paramount, and staff members are encouraged to grow and contribute to the positive wellness of our community.
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team. This position plays a vital role in assisting meal preparation, tray assembly, and food portioning as directed by supervisors. The Dietary Aide will also deliver and collect meal trays in a courteous and timely manner, helping to create a positive dining experience for residents. Additionally, this role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, dish room, and dining areas through proper sanitation procedures.
The ideal candidate will follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines, and handle the storage of food and supplies according to facility policies. Responsibilities include washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, disposing of trash, and maintaining waste areas. The Dietary Aide will assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating food and supplies while interacting respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
Working in this position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items weighing between 25 and 50 pounds. The working environment consists of skilled nursing facility kitchen and dining areas, where exposures may include heat, steam, cleaning chemicals, and food odors. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts is also necessary.
This role is well suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong attention to detail and cleanliness, and are dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of nursing home residents. The Dietary Aide will report any concerns regarding food quality, safety, or resident needs to their supervisor and perform other duties as assigned. We value candidates with a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within our team.
