Timber Ridge at Talus is designed for well-traveled, outdoor-loving seniors who enjoy a rich and full lifestyle. Residents partake in a variety of activities including socializing over meals, hiking nearby trails, and soaking in breathtaking Pacific Northwest views. The community's all-inclusive lifestyle is complemented by exceptional hospitality and a commitment to sustainability, making it a one-of-a-kind environment on the Eastside. The campus and natural setting mirror the residents' appreciation for the environment, creating an atmosphere that balances comfort, luxury, and nature.
Currently, Timber Ridge at Talus is seeking a dedicated On-Call Part-Time Dietary Aide to join their Culinary Services/Food and Beverage Department, specifically working within the health center. The position offers a competitive pay range of $22 to $24 per hour, dependent on experience. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute meaningfully to the well-being and daily life of senior residents while working in a supportive and engaging environment.
The Dietary Aide will be responsible for the preparation and serving of therapeutic diet trays tailored to health center residents, ensuring adherence to prescribed diet menus. This role demands attention to detail, a commitment to food safety and hygiene, and the ability to collaborate closely with residents, staff, and visitors. Duties include preparing therapeutic desserts and salads, serving meals, setting up and breaking down dining spaces, and transporting hot and cold foods within the health center. Additional responsibilities encompass maintaining sanitary conditions of workstations, upholding personal hygiene standards, and participating in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
The successful candidate will possess a valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit and demonstrate the ability to comprehend diet orders and specifications accurately. Previous experience in nursing home food service is preferred, along with effective communication skills in English and basic mathematical abilities to handle measurements and conversions. The role requires empathy and a cooperative spirit to foster positive interactions with older adults and team members alike.
Timber Ridge at Talus emphasizes employee development, offering continual professional training and opportunities for career advancement. Employees benefit from a range of perks including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, free meals, free parking, complimentary Lyft rides to and from the Issaquah Transit Center as needed, and the innovative DailyPay option.
