The Dietary Aide (or Food Service Worker) position at West Newton Healthcare, a part of Next Step Healthcare, offers an excellent full-time employment opportunity with a competitive pay range of $16.50 to $17.34 per hour. Additionally, dietary aides are eligible for a substantial sign-on and retention bonus, including $1,000 for full-time and $500 for part-time positions. This role is vital in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals prepared and delivered with care and efficiency. The Dietary Aide will be responsible for handling food safely and sanitarily, preparing trays according to specified orders, stocking food storage areas, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas, equipment, and utensils.

Besides performing essential food-related duties, the Dietary Aide at West Newton Healthcare contributes to a respectful and team-oriented environment, taking part in quality improvement activities and adhering to strict confidentiality standards to protect residents' sensitive health information (HIPAA compliance). Job Duties

  • Safe and sanitary handling of food dishes and equipment
  • Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order
  • Assist in stocking food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
  • Deliver food nourishments and supplies as assigned
  • Contribute to an environment that is respectful team-oriented and responsive to the concerns of co-workers residents and families
  • Participate in quality improvement activities QAPI as requested
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive Protected Health Information HIPAA at all times
