Job Description
Next Step Healthcare is a locally owned and operated healthcare facility dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to its residents. With a strong commitment to creating a supportive and respectful environment, Next Step Healthcare goes beyond merely meeting the basic needs of residents; it strives to ensure every individual feels safe, cared for, and valued. This approach has helped the organization build a reputation for excellence within the healthcare community, making it a preferred employer for professionals passionate about healthcare services. The company fosters a collaborative workplace where staff members are encouraged to work together, share ideas, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives that enhance the overall resident care experience.
The Dietary Aide position at Next Step Healthcare represents an essential role within the food service department, focusing on safely preparing and serving meals to residents while maintaining hygienic food handling practices. This part-time role offers a sign-on and retention bonus of $500, recognizing the importance of dedicated staff in ensuring resident satisfaction and well-being. The position requires a hands-on individual skilled in various food service tasks including meal preparation, stocking, cleaning, and delivery of food items. A key aspect of the job is upholding sanitary standards and adhering to food safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure nutritious meals are served timely and accurately.
In addition to food service responsibilities, the Dietary Aide actively contributes to a positive work environment characterized by respect, teamwork, and responsiveness to the needs of residents, families, and coworkers. Employees are expected to participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities (QAPI), reinforcing the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards of service. Confidentiality is critically important, and employees must remain vigilant in protecting sensitive resident information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate organizational and critical thinking skills, along with effective communication abilities that facilitate smooth interactions with team members and residents alike. Independence and sound decision-making are crucial qualities, particularly in emergency situations where quick, decisive action can impact resident safety. This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a caring team that prioritizes resident-centered care, fosters personal growth, and rewards dedication with a comprehensive benefits package. Overall, Next Step Healthcare offers a dynamic work environment for those passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through attentive dietary services.
