With over 37 years of experience, StoryPoint and its affiliates offer a wide range of services such as independent living, enhanced living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing. The organization prides itself on creating a culture that supports employees to perform their best while ensuring residents enjoy the highest quality of life and dignity every day.
The Dietary Aide position at StoryPoint Medina West is a part-time role, with shifts available from 6 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm. This role focuses on supporting food service operations within a senior living environment by ensuring all food preparations and servings adhere to dietary guidelines and sanitary practices. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in preserving the health and wellbeing of residents by assisting with meal preparation, plating food according to special and regular diets, and maintaining strict sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and dining service areas.
In this position, you will be responsible for handling food safely, managing portions, and following specific recipes and dietary instructions to accommodate specialized needs. You will also maintain daily records related to meal services, manage inventory at satellite kitchens, and ensure equipment is operating properly and clean. The role requires an individual with strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the willingness to maintain a positive attitude in a team-oriented environment. Your work will directly impact the quality of experience for residents, guests, and staff, contributing to a comfortable and supportive atmosphere that promotes dignity and respect.
Working conditions include standing for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and activities involving bending, reaching, and walking. You must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and be comfortable working in a moderately noisy environment. StoryPoint Medina West values employees who are proactive, responsible, and engaged in the mission to connect seniors, families, and communities by creating exceptional interactions every minute of every day.
By joining StoryPoint Medina West as a Dietary Aide, you become part of a vibrant and supportive organization dedicated to making every moment and interaction meaningful. As part of the CommonSail family, you are empowered to embody leadership qualities at every level, contribute to a culture of care and respect, and find fulfillment through service to others. This role offers competitive pay and the opportunity for career advancement within an inspiring and dynamic senior living community. If you have a passion for food service and a heart for serving others, this position offers not just a job but a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior residents and their families.
