Job Requirements
- Valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit
- previous experience in nursing home food service preferred
- ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- communicate effectively
- perform simple math
- ability to understand simple measurements and conversions
- ability to plan and organize work
- ability to set up trays and plates according to diet orders
- ability to interpret specifications and standards
- ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers
- empathy for older adults
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required
- serve meals in our health center
- set up tables in the health center dining room and break down same after the meal
- transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center
- maintain station equipment and work area in a safe and sanitary condition
- maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and comply with department dress code
- attend in-service training and education as assigned
