Currently, Next Step Healthcare is looking to hire a Part-Time Dietary Aide for their Westborough Healthcare facility. This role is essential in supporting the dietary services by assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas. The position is well-suited for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and eager to contribute to a resident-focused environment. The Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all meals are prepared and delivered in a safe and sanitary manner, tailored to meet the specific dietary needs of residents.
The Part-Time Dietary Aide position offers a $500 sign-on and retention bonus as a token of appreciation for joining and staying with the team. Employees in this role will engage in a variety of tasks, ranging from preparing resident trays according to prescribed orders to assisting with stocking and delivering food and supplies. In addition to supporting the nutritional needs of residents, the Dietary Aide also contributes to upholding the quality standards of the facility by participating in quality assurance activities and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
This role requires a proactive attitude with the ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent organizational and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to maintain positive interactions with residents, co-workers, and families. The ideal candidate will be able to handle emergency situations with decisiveness and quick thinking, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere within the healthcare setting.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a dietary or culinary role preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Strong attention to sanitation and safety practices
- Ability to work part-time hours as scheduled

Job Duties
- Safe and sanitary handling of food, dishes and equipment
- Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order
- Assist in stocking food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
- Deliver food, nourishments and supplies as assigned
- Contribute to an environment that is respectful, team-oriented and responsive to the concerns of co-workers, residents and families
- Participate in quality improvement activities (QAPI) as requested
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive Protected Health Information (HIPAA) at all times
