Penske seeks talented individuals to join their team as Technicians at the Bryan, TX location, working from 1650 Independence Ave. This position offers full-time employment with competitive pay at $23.00 per hour and includes shift differentials which enhance earnings potential for second and third shifts. The work schedule primarily is Tuesday through Saturday from 1 PM to 10 PM, with Saturday shifts from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen
Ability to maintain a driver qualification file including annual motor vehicle record checks and safety performance record requests
Ability to adhere to DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies
Willingness to work required schedule including shift differentials
Ability to comply with background screening including criminal checks, past employment, and education verification
Ability to work safely in various weather conditions and at heights
Physical ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Required to use hands on a routine basis to operate tools and controls
Ability to work safely around moving vehicles
Ability to reliably attend all scheduled shifts
Commitment to safety for self and others
Ability to travel locally for training as needed

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
Valid driver’s license
The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
The ability to work well as part of a team and outside
Basic computer skills
Ability to understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, and rules
Ability to perform work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies
Regular, predictable, full attendance
Ability to work in a safe and alert manner as required for DOT-regulated position

Job Duties

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
Doing preventative maintenance repairs like replacing or rotating tires and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
