This opportunity is for a Technician at the Channahon, Illinois location, situated at 23334 S Frontage Rd W. This role offers an hourly pay rate of $29, with an additional $2 shift differential for those working the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The position falls under the Vehicle Maintenance/Mechanics/Technicians job family and emphasizes hands-on work maintaining and repairing vehicles within Penske’s well-maintained and technologically advanced fleet. As a Penske Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of gas and diesel engine vehicles, helping customers keep their vehicles safe and operational on the road.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
  • using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • doing preventative maintenance repairs such as replacing or rotating tires and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
  • partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
  • working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
