KAG is currently seeking Diesel Technician I-III professionals to join their dynamic team. This role involves the safe and accurate performance of general property and vehicle maintenance as well as repair duties in and around shop operations within a fast-paced environment. Diesel Mechanics at KAG are responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles, including Class 5 through Class 8 commercial trucks and tank trailers. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $33.00 to $38.00, with guaranteed wage increases upon successful completion of training programs and verification of prior experience.
The Diesel Technician role requires a blend of technical skills and practical experience, focusing on preventative maintenance, repair, and inspection to ensure vehicles operate at peak efficiency. KAG supports their Diesel Technicians with extensive onsite paid training and growth opportunities for career advancement within the company. Job Requirements
- valid driver’s license
- air brake certification (FMSCR 396.25) or 1+ year verifiable experience and ability to obtain
- motor vehicle air conditioning repair (EPA 609) or ability to obtain
- commercial motor vehicle inspector with 3 years experience or 1 year with ability to obtain
- ability to safely and accurately perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
Job Qualifications
- 1 - 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance or repair
- experience with preventative maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles and tank trailer inspections
- ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- perform general vehicle and property maintenance and repairs
- ensure safety and accuracy in repair tasks
- conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on Class 5 to 8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
- maintain shop operations in a fast-paced environment
- comply with all safety and regulatory standards
