This position is a full-time 3rd shift role starting at 10:00 pm and ending at 6:00 am, with a competitive starting hourly wage of $24.86 plus a shift differential. The role of the Die Cut Assistant Operator is critical to the success of the production process. This position entails safely operating die cut machinery while supporting and leading crew activities to achieve and surpass plant production and quality benchmarks. The operator is responsible not only for machine operation but also for guiding team members, assigning tasks, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental policies. Job Requirements

  • minimum of one (1) year of experience assisting or operating a die cut machine
  • ability to work night shifts including holidays, weekends, and overtime
  • capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling
  • strict adherence to safety protocols and use of safety equipment
  • willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of one (1) year of experience assisting or operating a die cut machine
  • experience working in the corrugated packaging industry

Job Duties

  • adhere to all plant environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures while helping to meet and exceed production, waste and quality goals
  • assist operators with troubleshooting and making machine adjustments to converting equipment
  • lead and support crew to meet production and quality goals, including assigning tasks, leading by example, and escalating issues requiring supervisor attention
  • assume full responsibility for machine operation and crew direction in the operator's absence
  • perform and document required quality checks, including completing feedback in FFF
  • utilize systems and tools such as FFF, MP2, and Spectro to support production and quality tracking
  • train new employees and collaborate closely with maintenance to support equipment reliability
  • maintain cleanliness in designated work area throughout shift
  • handle all aspects of the machine's daily production to include setting up, operating, maintaining production quality, and performing daily maintenance
  • work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
  • perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling
  • work eight (8) hours a day and up to twelve (12) hours
  • maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
