ABM is a globally recognized leader in facility management services, known for delivering comprehensive solutions that enhance the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings and facilities. Founded in 1909, ABM has grown to serve more than 20,000 clients across various sectors, including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. With a workforce exceeding 100,000 employees and annual revenue nearing $8 billion, ABM operates in over 350 offices throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. The company prides itself on fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive workplace that values equal opportunity and actively supports veterans and military personnel re-entering the workforce.
As a Lead Warehouse Janitorial Cleaner at ABM, located at DFW Airport in Irving, TX, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This position is ideal for individuals who are new to the workforce or returning with limited experience and education, as ABM offers a welcoming environment, comprehensive training, and strong support systems. Employment involves daily operation of specialized cleaning equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely and effectively to ensure a sanitary and safe environment for building occupants and visitors.
The Lead Warehouse Janitorial Cleaner will be responsible for a broad range of janitorial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, servicing and restocking restroom supplies, and maintaining floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. In addition to general housekeeping, you will be expected to move furniture, cabinets, boxes, crates, and equipment manually or using hand trucks to facilitate thorough cleaning. Other duties include cleaning interior glass, windows, mirrors, and partitions using appropriate solutions, gathering and disposing of trash and recyclables, and wiping down furniture, appliances, and equipment.
Employees in this role must adhere strictly to company policies and procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures. Communication and teamwork are essential, as you will need to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors while following all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by ABM and regulatory authorities. Reporting any maintenance issues or barriers encountered during work is also a crucial responsibility.
This position offers flexible shifts with varying schedules upon completion of training, including AM shifts from 5 am to 1:30 pm, 6 am to 2:30 pm, or 7 am to 3:30 pm, and PM shifts from 1 pm to 9:30 pm or 2 pm to 10:30 pm. Compensation for the role is competitive, with $15.00 per hour for AM shifts and $16.50 per hour for PM shifts. ABM is committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package for its team members, emphasizing health, well-being, and work-life balance.
Joining ABM means becoming part of a company that values your contribution, offers growth opportunities, and prioritizes sustainability and innovation. As a military and veteran-friendly employer, ABM invites candidates with military experience to apply and take advantage of the robust training programs and career progression pathways available. Whether you aspire to continue in frontline roles or seek professional advancement within the company, ABM supports your career journey with respect and dedication.
