Healthy Futures of Texas is a statewide, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to improving the well-being of young Texans through access to sexual health education, contraception, and vital resources. The Annual Giving and Event Manager position reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) plays an integral role in advancing Healthy Futures of Texas' strategic priorities and financial sustainability. This role focuses on developing and implementing effective methods to enhance awareness and secure contributions that support the organization's mission through annual campaigns and fundraising events. The position requires flexibility with a work schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and occasional evening or weekend hours. Travel, up to 25% of the time, is expected for meetings, trainings, or other events, primarily within major Texas cities such as Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. The Annual Giving and Event Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective solicitation, stewardship, and cultivation of annual donors, strengthening the organization's donor base, and expanding its recurring giving program. This individual is tasked with leading the planning and execution of fundraising events, including strategy development, sponsorship procurement, ticket sales, and in-kind donation coordination. In collaboration with the CDO and the marketing team, this role crafts compelling and consistent messaging for appeals and stewardship materials across multiple platforms. The manager actively contributes to extending the reach of the organization by identifying new funding sources through lead generation and prospect research. They also work with various stakeholders, including committees and volunteers, to secure year-over-year revenue growth and broaden engagement among new donors and wider audiences. Post-event stewardship and donor cultivation are key components of this role, together with diligent tracking of fundraising progress and donor engagement metrics. The position also entails managing event logistics, vendor interactions, and onsite details such as registration and seating arrangements, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. Representing Healthy Futures of Texas at meetings and outreach events across the state is another vital aspect of the job, requiring excellent interpersonal communication skills and professionalism. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in fundraising, membership program development, event coordination, and/or non-profit management
- knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends in annual and event giving
- ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- ability to work independently and prioritize workload
- strong organizational and project management skills
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- commitment to positive engagement with staff, volunteers, donors, and prospective donors
- discretion in handling confidential donor and financial information
- proficiency in Google and Microsoft suite
- understanding of CRM software
- willingness to travel up to 25% for meetings and events

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in fundraising, membership program development, event coordination, and/or non-profit management

Job Duties
