The Development Fellow for Donor Engagement position is a full-time, fixed-term role starting around August 3, 2026, and concluding on July 31, 2027. This role is specifically designed to support Wake Forest Athletics by planning, coordinating, and executing donor-related events. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and possess excellent communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibly assisting with alumni tailgates, team reunions, game day hospitality, pregame events, and signature gatherings, the Development Fellow will serve as a primary contact for various donor events. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in event management, donor relations, and the operational aspects of collegiate athletics development.
Key responsibilities include creating weekly communications for the development staff, managing on-field pass distributions, creating event pages and guest registration links via the CRM system, and assisting with both in-person and virtual event execution. The position also involves budget tracking, invoice submission, and handling other expense reconciliation tasks. On game days, the Development Fellow acts as a liaison in donor hospitality areas, facilitating smooth event operations from setup to breakdown. Additionally, they will proactively engage potential donors by building rapport and identifying philanthropic interests through outbound and inbound calls.

Job Duties
- Assist with planning and executing donor events relating to Wake Forest Athletics including alumni tailgates, team reunions, game day hospitality, pregame events, and signature events
- serve as primary event contact as needed
- create weekly emails to the development staff with event information and updates
- coordinate on-field pass distributions for home games
- create events, guest registration links, and donor profile pages via CRM system
- assist with virtual events execution
- assist with event budget tracking, invoice submission and other expense reconciliation as needed
- serve as Athletics staff liaison in donor hospitality areas during home game days including set-up and breakdown
- effectively engage potential donors, building rapport and identifying their philanthropic interests through outbound and inbound phone calls
- other duties as assigned
