Job Description
K-LOVE is a renowned nonprofit multi-platform media company dedicated to inspiring people to move closer to Jesus. Founded in 1982 in Santa Rosa, California, K-LOVE began with a single radio station and has since expanded to become a leading force in Christian music broadcasting. The organization owns and operates the two largest Christian music radio networks in the United States—K-LOVE and Air1—with over 1,000 broadcast signals across all 50 states. Beyond traditional radio, K-LOVE reaches audiences worldwide through streaming audio services and offers a diverse range of media ministries, including podcasts, books, films, concerts, and special events. With nearly 500 team members working between its Nashville, Tennessee office and various field locations, K-LOVE fosters a mission-driven culture centered on faith, ministry, and service.
At K-LOVE, employment is not just about a job; every role is viewed as ministry. The organization prioritizes ministry alignment and a shared commitment to their faith, mission, vision, and values when hiring new team members. Once ministry alignment is established, K-LOVE seeks talented professionals who can bring their God-given gifts, skills, and experience to serve with excellence and integrity. K-LOVE’s core commitment is to place Christ at the center of all activities, making it an ideal workplace for individuals passionate about Christian ministry and impact.
The Development Events Manager position at K-LOVE is a critical role within the Development Team, tasked with ensuring the flawless execution of strategic donor events. This in-office position based in Franklin, Tennessee, requires a dynamic professional who can collaborate effectively with various internal departments such as Programming, Live Events, Marketing, and Ministry Partnership to orchestrate events that connect, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospective donors. These events are designed to support K-LOVE’s fundraising efforts and advance the ministry’s overall mission.
Key responsibilities include organizing and executing Ministry-wide events like the Fan Awards, K-LOVE Cruise, and Live at Red Rocks while maintaining alignment with K-LOVE’s culture, values, and vision. The Development Events Manager will develop event templates, timelines, and processes to ensure seamless collaboration among teams, manage relationships with vendors, coordinate volunteers, handle pre- and post-event communications, and provide exceptional behind-the-scenes event management to deliver smooth, impactful donor experiences.
This role demands strong organizational and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced ministry environment. The Development Events Manager also plays a vital role in managing budgets, contracts, and the annual calendar of engagement events while utilizing Salesforce to accurately track attendee participation. This role actively participates in staff meetings, summits, and retreats with a passion for advancing K-LOVE’s mission and fostering a spirit of teamwork and service.
If you love Jesus and feel called to be part of a faith-based ministry that places a high value on relationship-building and excellence in donor stewardship, the Development Events Manager role at K-LOVE offers a unique opportunity to integrate your faith with your professional talents. Join a supportive community where your contributions help further the mission to inspire and enrich lives through Christian media and ministry.
