The role of Development Coordinator at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is integral to the success of the Development Department, responsible for ensuring accurate management of all donor information and contributions. The Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in gift processing, donor database management, and generating reports that support fundraising campaigns and strategic initiatives. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of collaborating with various departments to advance development goals. The Development Coordinator provides essential administrative support, assists with donor cultivation and stewardship activities, and helps coordinate events that engage supporters and promote the Pavilion's mission. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to implement strategic development efforts that drive revenue, increase donor engagement, and uphold the highest standards of data integrity and donor relations. Additionally, the position involves managing membership renewals and benefits, tracking the success of fundraising campaigns, and ensuring that all donations are processed accurately and in accordance with donor intent. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in nonprofit development or similar role
  • Proficiency in donor database management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with membership-based programs
  • Ability to support fundraising events
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, data management, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience in nonprofit development or similar role
  • Strong proficiency with donor database systems and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with membership-based programs such as patrons or subscribers
  • Experience supporting fundraising events and board development
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to craft compelling grant and donor narratives

Job Duties

  • Manage donor database with high accuracy
  • Process incoming gifts including monetary, in-kind, grants, and sponsorships
  • Generate acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and donor communications
  • Reconcile contributions with finance records
  • Generate and analyze reports on campaign performance
  • Track and manage membership renewals and benefits
  • Provide administrative support to development initiatives
  • Assist with identification and cultivation of donors
  • Support fundraising volunteer group and coordinate participation
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Manager on corporate matching gift programs
  • Provide donor-related content to Marketing team
  • Assist in planning and executing special events such as galas and receptions
  • Manage guest RSVPs and registration platforms for fundraising events
  • Maintain shared calendar for grant submissions and deadlines
