The role of Culinary Product Developer, reporting directly to the Culinary Director, is a full-time position based in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is central to Conagra's research and development kitchen, a space where culinary creativity and food innovation converge. The Culinary Product Developer will play a key role in the development of new culinary products, from the initial concept and recipe creation to the final execution and commercialization. This position requires a hands-on approach with cooking and recipe development, working closely with food scientists and cross-functional teams to achieve gold-standard product formulations ready for production at Conagra's manufacturing plants. It is a role that combines the art of culinary craftsmanship with strategic storytelling and presentation, as the incumbent will also be responsible for showcasing culinary creations to company leadership, customers, and at various events.
Key responsibilities include coordinating innovation tastings, managing ingredient inventories, organizing culinary events such as taste treks and inspiration days, and maintaining smooth kitchen operations including sanitation and ingredient staging. The role demands a thorough understanding of savory cooking techniques and a keen awareness of current food trends. A strong collaborative spirit is essential, as the Culinary Product Developer will be engaging with multiple departments and external parties to drive flavor, technique, and culinary inspiration into Conagra's product lines. Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in culinary arts or related discipline or 10+ years culinary industry experience
- previous experience with hands-on cooking responsibility and accountability for purchasing, sanitation, inventory management, and ordering processes
- strong culinary skills with an emphasis on savory cooking and current food trends
- sanitation training and certification
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- analytical and logical problem-solving skills

Job Duties
- Coordinate and execute innovation tastings, customer meetings, and culinary-focused events
- collaborate with members of the culinary team and cross-functional partners to arrange culinary-centric business functions
- assist with customer meetings featuring food-focused discussions led by the culinary team
- maintain inventory of ingredients used in the development process and proactively stage ingredients for development sessions
- input and maintain recipes on inter-department shared drives and actively update records
- maintain kitchen operations including sanitation, maintenance, and organization
