The Detailer role at Bass Pro Shops plays a crucial part in supporting the Sales, Service, and Parts operations by ensuring that new and pre-owned boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs are maintained to the highest standards. This full-time position involves various detailing tasks such as washing, cleaning, waxing, and vacuuming to prepare units for customer pickup, display, or service. In addition to detailing, the Detailer is responsible for safely transporting units using equipment like forklifts and tractors, assisting with unloading incoming inventory, and moving products to different parts of the dealership, including storage lots and showrooms. The role also requires close communication with the Service Manager or Service Lead to report any maintenance needs or unit concerns. This position demands physical stamina as it requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate heavy machinery, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Being at least 21 years old and possessing a valid driver’s license are mandatory requirements for this role.

The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining a neat and organized workspace and will assist in inventory management by monitoring and reporting cleaning supplies. Job Duties

  • Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers
  • washes, cleans, waxes, vacuums interiors and exteriors of boats for scheduled customer pickups, display and service customer units
  • using a fork lift or tractor, participates in the unloading of incoming boats, motors, trailers and ATVs then transport them to various areas within the dealership
  • confirms packing list or invoice of all boat loads or other product deliveries
  • transports and stages customer boats and ATVs to service, rigging and storage yard by moving units from one location to another as necessary
  • maintains an updated list of cleaning supplies and inform Service Manager or Service Lead of needed items
  • assists Rigger and Service Specialist with PDI and VIN verification processes
  • informs Service Manager or Service Lead of any unit concerns or required repairs
  • performs grounds and facility maintenance as required
  • keeps work area neat and clean
  • performs all other duties as assigned
