The role of Dessert Finisher/Barista at The Cheesecake Factory is essential in elevating the guest experience within its high-volume, full-service restaurant environment. As the friendly face behind the bakery case, a Dessert Finisher/Barista is responsible for adding the finishing touches to the company's famous cheesecakes and desserts, including glazing strawberries, making perfect whipped cream dollops, and preparing delicious espresso beverages. In addition to dessert preparation, the role supports front-of-house operations by delivering exceptional service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
This position often requires working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards with awareness of food allergies. The Dessert Finisher/Barista performs critical operational tasks such as labeling, dating, and rotating products following First In, First Out procedures, managing station setup and breakdown, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of work areas. The role offers flexible scheduling with options for full-time or part-time hours, designed to accommodate various lifestyles while maintaining steady, consistent work hours. Job Duties
- Plate and finish desserts with accuracy attention to detail and consistent presentation
- Operate an espresso machine to prepare specialty coffee and espresso beverages
- Accurately follow instructions while upholding food safety and food handling standards with awareness of food allergies
- Label date and rotate products following FIFO First In First Out practices
- Work with efficiency speed and a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
- Maintain organization cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
- Complete station setup and breakdown including stocking and closing tasks
