As a Dessert Finisher/Barista at The Cheesecake Factory, you play a critical role in delivering exceptional quality and customer service within a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment. This position is pivotal as the friendly face behind the bakery case, showcasing and finishing iconic desserts like cheesecakes with intricate details such as glazing strawberries and crafting perfect whipped cream dollops that impress guests. In addition to dessert finishing, you will be responsible for operating espresso machines and preparing specialty coffee and espresso beverages to meet customer expectations. The role demands a keen eye for consistency and presentation, upholding stringent food safety and product rotation standards (FIFO), while working with efficiency and speed in a fast-paced setting. Organization, cleanliness, and maintaining sanitation of work areas are essential responsibilities, along with effectively communicating and supporting teamwork within the restaurant's operations. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, barista, or food service industry preferred
  • Ability to operate espresso machine and prepare specialty beverages
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • Plate and finish desserts with accuracy, attention to detail, and consistent presentation
  • Operate an espresso machine to prepare specialty coffee and espresso beverages

  • Label, date, and rotate products following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices

  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas
  • Complete station setup and breakdown, including stocking and closing tasks
