Job Description

The Cheesecake Factory is a renowned leader in experiential dining, recognized annually since 2014 by FORTUNE Magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For." Operating 353 restaurants across the United States and Canada under brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, North Italia, and Flower Child, the company is known for its culinary innovation and relentless focus on hospitality. Additionally, they operate two bakery production facilities that supply high-quality cheesecakes and baked goods to their restaurants, international licensees, and third-party customers. The Cheesecake Factory cultivates a welcoming and inclusive work environment that encourages diversity of identity, ideas, and experiences, offering reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities.

The role of Dessert Finisher/Barista at The Cheesecake Factory is a dynamic, customer-facing position that combines the artistry of dessert presentation with the skill of specialty coffee preparation. This position is vital in creating the memorable experiences that define the brand, as employees are responsible for adding the final, visually appealing touches on the bakery’s signature desserts, such as glazing iconic strawberries and crafting perfect whipped cream designs. In addition to dessert finishing, the role requires preparing espresso-based beverages using an espresso machine, contributing to a full-service, high-volume restaurant setting.

As a Dessert Finisher/Barista, the individual will be part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional front-of-house service, fostering a positive workplace culture with clear communication and teamwork. The job demands efficiency and accuracy under pressure, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and upholding consistent presentation quality. The opportunity offers competitive compensation ranging from $16.90 to $18.50 per hour, flexible scheduling with full-time or part-time hours, and numerous benefits including paid vacation, medical and dental coverage, and career advancement prospects. The Cheesecake Factory also supports employee growth through world-class training programs, no-cost GED or Associate Degree initiatives, and recognition programs that celebrate employee contributions.

This role is ideal for candidates who have prior experience in restaurant, hospitality, or food service industries, possess knowledge of food safety, and have a passion for hospitality. The physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and twisting. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and a team-oriented attitude. Joining The Cheesecake Factory means becoming part of a community-focused and award-winning company that values its people and strives to make a positive impact both internally and in the communities it serves.
