The role of Dessert Cart Attendant serves under the direction of the Director of Suites and Suites Manager(s) and is a vital part of the hospitality team dedicated to providing unparalleled food service and customer service to suite-level guests. This position involves preparing, stocking, and maintaining dessert carts to ensure they are always presentation-ready and fully equipped with the necessary utensils, plates, and silverware for seamless service. The attendant is responsible for managing inventory, accurately recording sales, handling payments, and effectively coordinating with Suite Attendants to verify billing and assist with guest servicing. Cleanliness and sanitary standards are critical, as the dessert cart must be cleaned and packed away properly after service. Expertise in the dessert items offered and a pleasant, customer-focused demeanor are essential to succeed in this role. The Dessert Cart Attendant must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, maintain a positive and courteous attitude toward guests, co-workers, and management, and be ready to perform other duties assigned by supervisors. This role requires individuals who enjoy direct guest interaction, are detail-oriented, and can manage responsibilities with professionalism. The working environment involves constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling repetitive motions. Physically, individuals must be capable of lifting stock up to 20 pounds. The position demands flexibility in working hours, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The hourly compensation is $16.90, and the role is union-represented by Unite Here Local 11, with applicable union dues. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or better
- Food safety certification
- RBS certification
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capable of performing physical tasks including constant standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds
- Ability to maintain positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Stadium/arena suites experience preferred
- Point of sale experience preferred
- Must be pleasant, courteous, and enjoy working with people
- Must be able to smile, maintain positive body language, and consistently provide positive guest service
- Works well as a member of a group
- Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
- Must be able to accept and carry out responsibility for directions
- Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Food Safety Certification is required
- RBS Certification required
Job Duties
- Prepare and stock dessert cart for service with appropriate utensils, plates, and silverware
- Ensure cleanliness and presentation of dessert cart
- Responsible for dessert cart inventory
- Record desserts sold and acquire proper payment
- Work with Suite Attendant to verify billing and help with servicing guests
- Clean and put away carts and desserts after service is completed
- Be knowledgeable of dessert items being sold
- Maintain a pleasant attitude toward customers, co-workers, and management
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager, or Director
