Job Description

This job posting represents an exciting career opportunity at a McDonald's restaurant that is independently owned and operated by a franchisee, distinct from McDonald's USA. This franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's logos, branding, and food products but operates as a completely separate company and employer. The franchisee manages all employment matters autonomously, including hiring, firing, staff supervision, discipline, scheduling, and staffing decisions. McDonald's USA has no control over these operations, ensuring a unique workplace environment that is locally managed with its own culture while benefiting from the world-renowned McDonald's brand and system.

The establishment provides customers with fast, friendly service and high-quality food products, upheld by a team of enthusiastic employees and managers who are committed to delivering great experiences consistently. This unique setup offers employees the opportunity to grow within a globally recognized brand while enjoying the personalized support and flexibility that comes with an independently operated restaurant.

The role being offered is that of a Department Manager, a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring excellent customer service, quality, and team performance. Department Managers work closely with crew members and other managers to maintain smooth restaurant operations and support company goals. Depending on the department, managers may lead shifts weekly, manage specific systems such as Training, Food Safety, or Inventory Management, and ensure efficient delegation of tasks to deliver top-notch service.

The Guest Service Department Manager focuses on enhancing the customer experience by coaching crew and managers on service procedures, managing sales promotions, and organizing service areas like the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru. The Kitchen Department Manager prioritizes food quality and safety, controls food costs, and ensures staff are well-trained on production standards, including menu updates. The People Department Manager handles recruitment, crew training, and staff scheduling to align with restaurant sales and profit goals, while also promoting crew morale and recognition.

Candidates for this role are expected to be positive team players with a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. Previous managerial experience, preferably in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings, is preferred. The position requires individuals to be at least 18 years old. The job offers flexible scheduling, allowing team members to choose hours that fit their lifestyle while pursuing personal education and career goals.

Beyond a competitive salary, the franchisee-operated McDonald's offers an attractive benefits package that supports employees' work-life balance and long-term success. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and valuable educational programs through Archways to Opportunity, which features opportunities to earn a high school diploma, college tuition assistance, and English language classes. Additional benefits include short- and long-term disability insurance, life and accident insurance, and retirement planning options.

This position is ideal for individuals who want a rewarding career with opportunities for advancement, excellent benefits, and a supportive team atmosphere. The role represents a chance to contribute to a thriving business in an iconic restaurant setting, backed by recognized training, leadership development, and a welcoming company culture dedicated to helping employees succeed and grow. If you value energy, purpose, and the opportunity to make a positive impact while developing leadership skills, this position offers the ideal next step in your career journey.
