Job Description
Whole Foods Market is an internationally recognized leader in the natural and organic foods industry, renowned for its commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles and sustainable practices. Established as a trusted grocery store chain that prioritizes quality, transparency, and community well-being, Whole Foods Market goes beyond merely retailing food products; it actively supports social and environmental causes. The company’s core mission to nourish people and the planet translates into impactful initiatives such as funding school garden grants, advocating for food access in underserved areas characterized as food deserts, and working to alleviate poverty in developing countries. This holistic approach reflects the brand’s vision to be more than a grocery store – it is a catalyst for meaningful, positive change in local communities and globally.
The role of a Produce Team Supervisor at Whole Foods Market is central to ensuring that the company’s high standards of excellence and customer satisfaction are continually met and exceeded. This position involves assisting with the scheduling and supervision of Produce Team Members, helping maintain the day-to-day flow of the department, and upholding a welcoming and efficient shopping environment. The individual in this role supports Produce Team Leaders and Associate Team Leaders to deliver compelling displays of produce, coffee, and juice, ensuring a fresh, organized, and attractive presentation that customers value. As part of a dynamic team, the Produce Team Supervisor helps train and mentor new and existing team members, fostering a culture of high performance, teamwork, and low turnover.
Moreover, this role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including food safety protocols and health and safety regulations, to maintain compliance and protect both customers and staff. The supervisor also plays an active role in managing inventory, conducting performance evaluations, and communicating effectively across teams to address concerns and share company vision and goals. This position is designed for individuals who are organized, personable, and motivated by collaborative success. With a wage range of $16.50 to $30.20 hourly, commensurate with experience, Whole Foods Market offers comprehensive Whole Benefits, including health and wellness programs, financial support, paid time off, and team member discounts. This employment opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking not only a job but a career with purpose, in an environment where their contribution fuels positive community impact and continuous personal development.
