The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA, which means all employment decisions and management responsibilities at the restaurant are handled solely by the franchisee. McDonald’s USA holds no control or involvement over hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, scheduling, or any other employment matter within the restaurant. When hired, you will be employed directly by the franchisee, making them your employer.
