Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, separate from McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds a valid license to use McDonald's logos and food products, maintaining the restaurant's well-known brand identity while operating as an independent entity. This means that all employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are managed solely by the franchisee and not McDonald's USA. The company prides itself on providing quality food and exceptional customer service with a focus on fast, friendly, and accurate service in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.

The role available is for a Department Manager position, which acts as a key leader during shifts and occasionally oversees specific operational departments like Training, Food Safety, or Inventory Management. The Department Manager ensures that the restaurant runs smoothly, customer experiences are exceptional, and business goals are achieved. They direct teams, delegate tasks, track performance, and maintain standards consistently. This position offers a satisfying career path with great benefits, opportunities for advancement, and the ability to develop valuable leadership skills within the hospitality industry.

As a Department Manager, you could be focused on one of several critical operational areas. The Guest Service Department Manager oversees the front-end customer experience, including the McCafé and Drive-Thru service areas. This role ensures that all service staff provide top-notch service and that sales promotions are effectively executed. The Kitchen Department Manager focuses on food quality, safety, fast service, and controlling food costs while training kitchen staff on current and new menu items. The People Department Manager handles the recruitment, training, scheduling, and motivation of crew members to support restaurant sales and profitability.

This is a dynamic role well-suited to positive, team-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Previous management experience in restaurants, retail, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for the managerial position. The company supports its managers with competitive compensation and a range of benefits, including dental and vision coverage, medical reimbursement programs, educational assistance such as college tuition help and English language classes, paid time off, meal discounts, and more.

Working as a Department Manager in this franchise-operated McDonald's restaurant offers a unique blend of independence and affiliation with a globally recognized brand. The opportunity enables individuals to grow professionally, gain leadership experience, and contribute to a team dedicated to serving delicious food and creating feel-good moments for customers. This position not only reinforces vital management skills but also encourages personal and professional growth supported by comprehensive training and development programs. If you are motivated by a customer-focused role that challenges you to lead with energy and purpose, this position is an excellent fit to make your move towards a fulfilling career.
