Job Requirements
- minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in coffee bar or food service management preferred
- ability to taste, smell and test products
- strong leadership and management skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- knowledge of employment laws
- ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled
- ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- ability to bend, stoop, reach frequently and occasionally climb ladders
- good attendance record

- ability to operate cash register and check stand equipment
- physical ability to work in varying temperature environments

Job Duties
- Champion company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed customer service goals
- handle customer relations positively including effective resolution of complaints
- promote Albertson's philosophy of personalized service in the coffee bar
- prepare specialty drinks and beverages and stock pastry and display cases
- order, receive, break downloads, stock, display and rotate product ensuring quality, temperature, cleanliness, selection, display and inventory levels
- prevent sale of out of code products
- create effective displays for coffee, cups, pastry and related merchandise
- maintain and clean production equipment
- operate check stand equipment to process customer orders and monitor cash handling procedures
- assist customers by answering product questions and taking special orders
- engage in suggestive selling
- make intercom announcements
- liaise with vendors ensuring compliance with their requirements
- monitor inventory and space security
- supervise, motivate, train and participate in hiring coffee bar personnel
- monitor associate performance and recommend personnel actions
- schedule personnel to ensure adequate coverage and budgetary goals
- supervise day-to-day coffee bar functions to achieve service and profit objectives
- conduct daily inspections and initiate corrective measures for stock, sanitation, safety and security
- assist with cleaning, stocking, storage and customer service
- implement effective promotional and seasonal displays
- control shrink and expenses
- complete and monitor daily logs, purchase reports, sales, labor and other paperwork
- maintain records on ad items movement and take inventories
- maintain and organize work areas, backroom, cooler and freezer
- ensure proper merchandising via schematics and signing
- follow company and vendor policy for pricing and handling reduced-to-clear items
- respond appropriately to incoming calls
- maintain confidentiality concerning associates and company information
- ensure all associates are trained properly
- plan and conduct weekly sales meetings
- resolve associate complaints
- perform all duties safely, accurately and with integrity
- perform other necessary and required duties
