This job opportunity is offered by a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee of McDonald's USA. This franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA, operating under a license to use McDonald's logos and food products. All employment decisions, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling, are managed exclusively by the franchisee, ensuring a localized and dedicated management approach tailored to the specific needs of the restaurant. McDonald's USA does not intervene in employment matters for this position.
The role is a full-time position as a Department Manager within the franchisee-operated McDonald's restaurant, starting at a competitive pay rate of $18 per hour. In this leadership role, the Department Manager is tasked with ensuring that customers consistently receive fast, accurate, and friendly service. Managers not only oversee daily shifts but may also manage specific departments such as Training, Food Safety, Inventory Management, Guest Service, Kitchen, or People. This role requires setting goals, delegating responsibilities, following up on tasks, and reporting results to other managers and team members.
The Guest Service Department Manager focuses on the customer experience through training service procedures, maintaining the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru operations to ensure efficient, friendly service. The Kitchen Department Manager is responsible for the quality and safety of food preparation, controlling food costs, and training kitchen staff on production procedures, including new menu items. The People Department Manager manages the hiring, training, scheduling, and motivation of crew members, fostering a positive environment that supports staff development and retention.

Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years old
- previous managerial experience preferred
- flexible scheduling availability including weekends and holidays
- ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- P.O.S. and Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- ability to maintain high industry standards in quality and service
