The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's logos, food products, and branding, but operates as a separate entity responsible for all employment matters. This means decisions regarding hiring, firing, staffing, scheduling, and employee management rest solely with the franchisee, ensuring a distinct employer-employee relationship separate from McDonald's corporate operations.
