Job Description
This job opportunity is with a restaurant franchisee that is independently owned and operated, utilizing the McDonald's brand and products under license but entirely separate from McDonald's USA. This franchisee holds the legal rights to use McDonald's branding, food menu, and operational standards while independently managing all employment and operational decisions. It's important to note that this job is not with McDonald's USA corporate offices but specifically with the franchisee running the local restaurant. This means all hiring, staffing, discipline, and scheduling decisions are controlled by the franchisee, and McDonald's USA has no involvement or oversight in these employment matters.
The role available is that of a Department Manager within this vibrant, fast-paced restaurant environment. This management position plays a critical part in maintaining the restaurant’s high standards of customer service, food quality, and team efficiency. The Department Manager works directly with crew members and other managers to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The job offers satisfying career growth potential, competitive pay, and a collection of valuable benefits that support your personal and professional development. One of the appealing features of this role is the flexibility it provides, allowing employees to choose hours that fit their lifestyle and pursue additional education or skill-building opportunities alongside their work schedule.
Department Managers will be responsible for leading a variety of operational and people-related activities. They may oversee shifts by ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service while keeping the restaurant running smoothly. Some managers specialize in specific departments such as Guest Service, Kitchen, or People. For example, a Guest Service Department Manager focuses on customer experience, training service staff, and managing front counter and drive-thru operations to maximize efficiency and satisfaction. A Kitchen Department Manager oversees food production quality, safety, cost control, and staff training, ensuring timely preparation and the introduction of new menu items. A People Department Manager handles crew hiring, training, scheduling, and motivation to align with sales goals and foster a positive work culture.
This role is ideal for motivated, positive team players who enjoy a dynamic atmosphere and want to advance their careers. Previous experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality management is preferred but not mandatory. The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old and willing to work varied hours. Working here means joining an ambitious team that values leadership development and personal growth, supported by industry-leading training programs, tuition assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Additional benefits include paid vacation time, paid holidays, sabbatical opportunities, medical and dental coverage, flexible spending accounts, and insurance programs. You also gain access to employee resources, adoption assistance, and community engagement programs like matching gifts. This comprehensive approach to employee well-being and career advancement reflects the commitment of this independent McDonald's franchise to create a rewarding workplace where individuals can thrive and reach their highest potential.
